Announcement: New Chair of the Coalition on Secure Technology

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Graeme Downie MP as the new Chair of the Coalition on Secure Technology.

Graeme brings a wealth of experience to this role, having been elected as the Labour MP for Dunfermline and Dollar this year. His extensive background in communications spans over 20 years, as well as four years at the innovation charity NESTA – whose mission is to design, test and scale new solutions to society’s biggest problems.

He says his experience of living on an RAF base in Berlin instilled a profound interest in the UK’s defence and security. He has spoken in Parliament of the need for global co-operation and dialogue, including with China, to safeguard human rights and protect our technological infrastructure.

Graeme’s leadership and expertise will be crucial in advancing our mission to highlight the very real risks being posed to our critical national infrastructure by new technologies, including Cellular IoT Modules.
